Eco-Emission Analysis of Multi-Carrier Microgrid Integrated with Compressed Air and Power-to-Gas Energy Storage Technologies

Growing concerns about global greenhouse gas emissions have led power systems to utilize clean and highly efficient resources. In the meantime, renewable energy plays a vital role in prospects worldwide. However, random nature of these resources has increased demand for storage systems. On other hand, due higher efficiency multi-energy compared single-energy systems, development such which are based on different types carriers, will be more attractive utilities. Thus, this paper represents multi-objective assessment operation multi-carrier microgrid (MCMG) presence high-efficiency technologies comprising compressed air (CAES) power-to-gas (P2G) The objective model is minimize cost environmental pollution. CAES simple-cycle mode besides charging discharging modes provide flexibility system. Furthermore, response program employed mitigate peaks. proposed system participates both electricity markets supply requirements. weighted sum approach fuzzy-based decision-making compromise optimum solutions conflicting functions. examined sample system, results cases discussed. show that coupling P2G wind curtailment pollution up 14.2% 9.6%, respectively.
